Web Development
Web development is our business.
Our websites are crafted using Drupal CMS, the world’s best Open-Source Content Management System. This gives us the power to build sites of great complexity with ease, letting your website overtake the competition on features, and style.
Drupal is built on top of PHP, Javascript, CSS, and HTML, and uses AJAX to streamline the experience for your visitors, above and beyond the typical Web 2.0 sites out there.
Standard features include:
- Web Based Content Management
- Web Based Administration
- Built-in Site Search
- Search-Engine Friendly Design
- Analysis, Tracking and Statistics (including Google Analytics)
- Logging and Reporting
- Caching & Performance Mechanisms
What type of website is right for me?
The type of website you need may range from a very simple online “brochure” to advertise your business, through to a highly sophisticated web application serving thousands of users.
If your needs are very simple you may suit a Mini Website, but generally speaking, most people require a Standard Website - a mixture of conventional parts with one or two special features thrown in for effect.
However if your needs are very complex, you may need the full-strength functionality of a Web Application.
We’ve broken down our clients’ typical needs into three tiers. During our consultation with you, we will discuss your needs, and how we can best get you growing on the internet.
Whether you need a very simple online brochure or a highly complex web application, we can help you and your business thrive online.
Content Management Systems
Using a Content Management System (CMS) like Drupal is a powerful new way of building websites.
CMSs can do many things:
- You can change your own content easily, without having to call your web designer.
- You benefit from the enormous power of add-on modules.
- You can save time and money by automating your business processes.
- A CMS is the backbone of your website, ready for future growth when you are.
- And a lot more…
Drupal has been maturing over eight years into a solid and versatile framework with a library of over 1800 add-on modules.
Its compact footprint lets it run the tiniest online brochure, while its solid architecture can power even the largest of corporate websites.
Pricing
Pricing of your website strongly depends on the style and features of the website that you need.
Have a think about the budget for your website. When we sit down with you to work out the features you need, we can advise you how to get the best result possible while staying within the budget. This way we can deliver the best possible website and you can be satisfied of getting good value for money.
We’ve provided a rough guide to the cost associated with different types of website, based on projects we’ve done in the past:
- Mini websites from $1500
- Standard websites from $4950
- Standard websites + eCommerce from $6950
- Web applications from $10k (but requires a comprehensive quote for accurate pricing)
Timing
Naturally, the time required to implement the project will vary according to the complexity of the project. For our Mini Websites, the turnaround time can be as little as four weeks, whereas complex Web Applications may take up to several months.
In our initial consultation with you, we will establish any time constraints or deadlines that apply to the project.
If your project or task is urgent, please let us know so we can discuss options for fast-tracking your project.
Getting Started
The first step in building a site is to get in contact with us.
We will arrange a meeting with you to discuss your needs.
From there, we will build a proposal for your site, and go from there!
